Visitor Information:
Members of affiliated clubs visiting Santa Barbara are entitled to enjoy the use of all club facilities. The club is open from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Information on special evening events are listed on the pages "Calendar of Events" and "Announcements".
While Santa Barbara has many fine hotels the club has made arrangements with the "Inn of the Spanish Garden" (Tel: 866-564-4700) for a special room rate of $195. Rebecca Johnson, General Manager of the inn, will take care of members of affiliated clubs. The inn is within walking distance of the club.
The following three of Santa Barbara's many restaurants will offer club members a special welcome if tables are booked through the inn:

The inn can also arrange for complimentary day passes to the Museum of Art, which displays an exquisite collection of art from around the world. Docent led tours of the museum are available. Much of the art was donated to the museum over the years by wealthy Santa Barbara collectors.
The "Red Tile Walking Tour" through the center of the city will take to the visitor to a number of interesting buildings, some of which date back to the time when "Alta" California was part of New Spain.

The visitor may want to walk through two city parks and a residential neighborhood to the magnificent Santa Barbara Mission, which dates from the late 18th century.

Other walking tours are equally enjoyable in Santa Barbara's pleasant climate.
The visitor may want to enjoy a boat trip in the Santa Barbara Channel, which may offer the opportunity to see a variety of different whales and dolphins. The visitor may want to visit the Channel islands, which lie some 25 miles offshore and can often but not always be seen from the waterfront.
Santa Barbara and neighboring towns offer a multitude of cultural events.

Not far from all the sights and activities there is the Santa Barbara Club, which offers the visiting member of an affiliate club peace and quiet along with good food and drinks and the companionship of its members.
