The day itself couldn't have been more beautiful and special for us and for our 140 guests. Getting married under the majestic oak tree was perfect and we all enjoyed fantastic food, a well stocked bar, and wonderful service from the staff. We have had so many compliments since our big day and it seems everyone had the best time! We highly recommend The Santa Barbara Club for a perfect Santa Barbara style wedding!"

"I spent a lot of time looking at wedding venue options and my fiancé and I toured a ton of venues. We had a bunch of tours lined up since we don't live in the area and SB Club was not one of them (somehow I never came across it in my search). We were disappointed in venues we thought we'd love so when we stopped for a coffee break in SB, I did a quick phone search and noticed there was a venue we were walking distance to that had great reviews - SB Club! We stumbled in and Alejandra happened to be free to show us around...We immediately fell in love with the space, the character of the venue, the amazing food and incredible staff. Many other venues felt like wedding factories but SB Club is very intimate, special and unique. It's definitely a hidden gem in the heart of downtown SB. We were going to get married there on August 15 2020 but due to coronavirus, we had to postpone to May 2021. Julie and Alejandra have been very responsive and accommodating during this crazy time. I've heard a lot of horror stories about how venues are handling covid and I'm grateful we put our trust into SB Club...Right before everything shut down, we had our tasting and it met our high standards as we are self-proclaimed foodies. We can't wait for our special day but are so thankful that the staff at SB Club has made this stressful time easier for us. Highly recommend!"

"I have been in the wedding industry for 16+ years, so when it was time for me to plan my own wedding, I knew I would be picky. From the time I inquired with Julie to the finish of my event at Santa Barbara Club, I have been so impressed. Julie is a true professional who will guide you through what works well at the club while also keeping your own personal vision in mind. After the sales process, I was handed over to the extremely capable Alejandra. I do not know how to express the love I have for this woman. She made the planning process so seamless for me (planning it from San Diego). I knew that even the smallest of detail I handed to her would be taken care of. All of my requests and concerns were met with a "can do" attitude, and not once did she make me feel like I was bothering her. The night before the wedding I was introduced to Tina, the main banquet captain, who was going to be handling the flow for the day of. She was thorough and professional and they are so very lucky to have her.
On the day of my wedding, it was magic!!! The venue was set exactly the way I asked and it was gorgeous. The food was amazing and everything I had hoped for. Food was so important to us as a couple and they delivered in spades on this! We had scallops and short ribs as entrees and WOW!! My guests are still talking about how they were able to do scallops for that many people, and cook them so perfectly. The staff was attentive, polished and so welcoming. I literally could write a novel about how perfect this venue is, but I hope you will head there and see for yourself. If you have even one doubt, know that this event professional would choose Santa Barbara Club over any venue any day of the week!"

"I'm not sure there is enough time for me to say all the amazing things about the Santa Barbara Club. Alejandra and Julie were so helpful and amazing through the whole planning process. They responded promptly, accommodated all my ideas. They made everything happen. I had some unconventional food ideas and they totally killed it! I had things made that were not normally on their menu and their chef absolutely delivered!! The wait staff was so attentive and made sure me and hubby always had a drink in our hand and made sure we got apps during cocktail hour. It is definitely a hidden gem, not many people know about this venue but they should. Guys had a nice upstairs room with a pool table and couches and the girls were comfortable in a large old library with great lighting for makeup and photos! It is a beautiful space and a full service venue!"

"The Santa Barbara Club was the perfect place for our wedding! We knew it when we toured the club and when we booked it, but our wedding day was absolutely perfect. We had an excellent coordinator of our own, but Julie and Alejandra at the Club were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful with all the details leading up to and on the big day. The building itself is beautiful, with lots of old world charm, and the library is gorgeous! And the food is amazing! They have their own parking lot for guests, you get the whole property for your whole day, and they provide all the tables, chairs, linens, etc. (unless you want to arrange to bring in your own). I really can't say enough good things about the Santa Barbara Club and the incredible wedding we had there.
I even think the price was reasonable if you compare the whole package to having the same wedding/reception elsewhere."

"This place is a hidden gem. When my husband and I moved to LA and first came to Santa Barbara we knew it was where we would get married. What we also knew was that we wanted a place that was a great space and also had great food since I was too busy (and quite honestly, uninterested) in really "planning" a wedding with too many vendors but that was still reasonable.
After searching so many places and almost picking one I took one last glance through all the possible options for a wedding venue and somehow found the Santa Barbara Club.
Julie and Alejandra were so welcoming, helpful, and responsive throughout the whole process. They made sure the schedule was perfect and all the vendors (flowers, trolley, DJ, and photographer) were all in order. Everything was so well planned out and they made sure to keep us on a timeline in the most fluid way possible. I know timelines sound annoying for a wedding and I definitely was not interested in creating one but I know that all the great moments we were able to have at our wedding because of the great organization and schedule that was created for us!
Location: The location of this place is right downtown and from the front it's a classic SB style white building but the back is a gorgeous lush outdoor space for guests to mingle. The inside is a great space with wonderful detail. The dining room has sliding glass windows so that you can dine inside but still be able to enjoy the fresh air and weather.
Food: We had a chicken, salmon, risotto, vegetables, and potatoes au gratin as the main course and a butter lettuce, grapefruit, and goddess dressing salad to start. We also had small desserts which I didn't even get to try but I heard people enjoyed.
We had 80 guests and everyone loved the club and the amazing food!"

"I cannot say enough good things about the Santa Barbara Club. The venue is beautiful - a 100+ year old building with a lot of character, a beautiful lawn with a stunning, tall, old-growth oak tree. The rooms are laid out with a great flow. But as beautiful as it is, the service outshines it's looks! Julie and Alejandra are excellent. They know what they are doing and have every detail covered. Alejandra helped me plan out the schedule of the day, organized and communicated with my vendors, set up my decor, and made sure that my wedding party and I were comfortable and happy all day! The food was also excellent. The menu is extensive with many options - it was hard to narrow it down! I loved that I didn't have to find an outside caterer, or rent furniture/linens/dishes/flatware/etc. either. Julie and Alejandra put me at ease every time I talked to them. I am SO glad we had our wedding here!"

"Enjoyed a delightful lunch here yesterday (Thursday). I'm typically not a fan of country club food; however, what they prepared for me yesterday was Michelin star quality and not what I expected. The Santa Barbara Club clearly exceeded my expectations.
Everything about this place is lovely. The flowers on the table were fresh, perfect. The vintage 1920s light fixtures were restored, the sugar holder was vintage silver perfectly polished. If I lived in the area I would be honored to have a membership here.
Loved the staff as well.
Lunch began with a bowl of beef vegetable soup. It was absolutely delicious. I typically don't like beef in soup; however, this soup was wonderful and hit the spot.
Lunch entrée was a California Nicoise Salad. It was a heart of romaine filled with fresh crab meat, olives, tomatoes and avocado. It was amazing, something I will attempt to reproduce at home. I savored every bite.

"This is one of the most beautiful hidden places in SB. I would assume most people have never been here or don't even know it exists. It's a beautiful piece of history in the heart of Santa Bárbara. It was founded in the 1800's.
The FOOD is phenomenal. I've eaten a lot of fancy food in my lifetime but the food here is probably some of the best I've ever had. Everything fresh daily and from scratch. All of the soups, dressings, breads etc FROM SCRATCH!!! The chef here is THE BEST!!! I'd highly recommend this place for a special event.....you can't go wrong!
If you're not a member then a special event is the only way to get to experience this amazing venue!"

"My husband and I had our wedding at the Santa Barbara Club on October 10th. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is top notch! Julie and Alejandra took care of us from start to finish and made sure everything was perfectly executed for our wedding day from the food, atmosphere, set up and service. During the planning process I had many questions and details that needed to be worked out and anytime I had a question or concern I would email them and receive a response within 24 hours, most of the time on the same day. They listened to us and and were incredibly helpful throughout the process guiding us along the way. On the wedding day they worked closely with our vendors and made sure every detail was taken care of so we didn't have to worry and could relax and enjoy our day! We are so grateful to them for making our day so special and are so happy we chose to have our wedding there!
As a Wedding Planner myself, I would definitely recommend the Santa Barbara Club to anyone looking for a wedding venue. The location is very convenient downtown and close to many hotels, restaurants and nightlife. The club is private so you have the entire place to yourselves! We loved the privacy and the flow of the event going from room to room from the ceremony outside to the seated dinner in the dining room to the dance floor to the club room for dessert. Our guests loved the venue as well and raved about the food which was cooked perfectly and had a beautiful presentation.
We cannot say enough about this venue. It was everything we had hoped for and more!"

"We had the best wedding ever at The Santa Barbara Club. Beyond anything, the service was outstanding. Julie and Alejandra were prompt during the planning process (and I bombarded them regularly as an out-of-town bride who couldn't visit for herself). On the day of, Alejandra and the rest of the staff had everything down to a tee and the set ups, drinks, and food went off without a hitch. And the food was actually DELICIOUS, not necessarily a norm for weddings! They worked with us on our custom menu and exceeded our expectations (and we live in New Orleans where food matters so we're picky!). We did everything outside on the patio (ceremony & reception) and the grounds were beautiful. Zero complaints and relatively budget-friendly for Santa Barbara. Highly recommend."
